The PGP College of Pharmaceutical Science and Research Institute (PGPCOP & RI), Namakkal was established in the year of 2007 under the dynamic leadership of Professor Dr.Palani G Periyasamy, Chairman, PGP Educational and Welfare Trust. PGPCOP & RI offers Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) a two year programme, affiliated to Directorate of Medical Education, Chennai, Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) a four year programme, Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm) a two year programme and Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) a six year Post Graduate Programme affiliated to The Tamilnadu Dr.MGR Medical University, Chennai and all the courses are approved by Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi. The main objective of the college is to impart quality education, skills, updated knowledge for budding Pharmacists. Our college having an excellent faculty team dedicated in making this college a Centre of Excellence in Pharmacy Education and Research. At PGPCOP & RI the students are expected to have an enriching and life-turning experience that propels them to take advantage of the new opportunities in their life. Our college is having wonderful R & D facility to make new product development, student’s projects, regular practicals and commercial activities.

We foster sharpening of skills and enhancement of knowledge to our students through various extra-curricular and co-curricular activities through faculty who not only keep themselves at par with the current developments but also contribute to the expansion of knowledge in their field of expertise. The faculty members contribute substantially to the academic through quality teaching, publications, seminars, conferences, etc. Students in the institute are trained to convert innovative ideas into attainable and practical models to meet the growing demand of Pharmaceutical Industry and Corporate Hospitals. Our college students regularly participating various National and International Conferences/Seminars, presenting their research papers and received many best paper awards. The institute is equipped with the best infrastructure to prepare students to become successful professionals. Every year the students are going to Pharmaceutical Industry visit, Industrial Training and Hospital Training to make them ready for getting job in the Pharmaceutical Companies and Corporate Hospitals. Also our students are going to Community Pharmacy Training to equip their knowledge in the field of retail pharmacy sector. The students graduated from our college are getting placements in top Pharmaceutical Industries and Corporate Hospitals.
